Beaches
Naples is the centre of the famous Paradise Coast”. That says it all. The area beaches have an almost unique powder white sand for miles. Whether you want a secluded area, or prefer “people watching” in some of the more popular spots, you’ll enjoy the Beaches of Naples more than any other.
Getting to the beach is about as easy as you’ll find anywhere, with many access points right from the city itself. All of the waterside resorts have easy access and plenty of breathtaking spots to enjoy the area to its fullest.
If your pleasure is walking barefoot along miles of soft sandy beaches, or just lazing under the sun to obtain that perfect tan, Naples’ beaches are just the ticket.
It’s no wonder that Naples and surrounding area are often referred to as Florida’s Last Paradise.
For those who really enjoy fine beaches, this area of Florida will not disappoint. There is not reason to have to spend any more time indoors than you have to with such beauty at arms length. One example is Marco Beach in Collier County Florida. What a glorious place for enjoying the great outdoors. Not too many beaches these days, where you can just walk alone, with friends or someone special, or even for that matter, pitch a tent or park your RV at one of the many resorts and campgrounds in the area.
Not a camper? No problem. There are countless hotels, motels and resorts along the beach or in close proximity. Again, don’t forget your camera. I was going to say, “and bring plenty of film”, but alas, that ship has sailed. More timely to say, “Make sure you bring an extra high capacity memory card”, but it just doesn’t have the romance. Whatever your weapon of choice, bring it as the blue surf striking a scenic coastline is a sight you’ll want to capture for posterity. Smokehouse Bay is another “must see”. Interestingly, the locals from Naples-Marco Island really like this spot. Hmmm, I wonder what they know that we don’t. Morgan Beach and sites like Collier-Seminole State Park are great to check out as well.
